Coach
My momma always used to say: You know you're a woman when you start to wear bras with clasps, and when you've got your first monogram wristlet from Coach.
Come to think of it, I never did get a wristlet from Coach, though my sister did! [Joyce: Maybe your momma's trying to tell you something...] Anyway, Coach is renowned for their wristlets, monogram prints and curvy handbags. Their Spring 2009 collection, however, is a far cry from that.
For example, this is how one would normally picture a Coach wristlet:

And this is how one would normally expect a bag from Coach:

With that in mind, here are some examples of the Coach Spring 2009 collection.

As you can see, the wristlets losing its monogram print is one thing, but the detailing, and ultimately its shape, has taken a complete turn to modern sleek chic.

And these are the bags (I'm loving that little mustard coin purse embellishment)!

They've gone completely leather, and have taken more attention to zipper detailing. They're also more slanted towards warmer tones, which is interesting to see on a Coach bag, let alone a Spring collection. I think they sort of look like an amalgamation of bags from Marc Jacobs, Tods and Marni, though I mean it in the best way possible. What say you?

And these wooden bangles had me salivating! Excuse me while I wipe my desk. So what do you think of Charles & Keith's and Coach's new collections?
