TiCopycat: Lock S.
Last week's TiCopycat focused on Adeline Rapon from Paris. This week, we're bringing things a little closer to home by drawing inspiration from the adorable Lock S. who hails from Malaysia. She describes herself as a self-confessed, fashion-loving dreamer with a quirky, romantic style.

The first look by Lock reminds me of the whimsical era of fairy tale romances. This look is picture perfect for any occasion, from a cheeky first date to a casual weekend of shopping and manicures with your girlfriends. The key to being the princess in your fairy tale lies in the girly accessories you choose.

DIY TIP 1! Turn old rings, earrings and pendants into hair accessories by removing the ornate part and gluing bobby pins behind them. Your Mum's or Grandmum's jewelry box is the perfect treasure trove for this :)
DIY TIP 2! Remember those friendship bracelets we used to make back in school? Simply braid a few together to create dainty bracelets which complete this subtle look.
One thing you've got to admire about Lock is her versatility. She certainly has the ability to transform into a hip, chic, trendy urbanite in an instant! Go bold with patterns and colours - what you think is a mismatch could actually end up working really well together. This look is all about getting noticed and having the confidence to pull it off!

DIY TIP 1: Mixing and matching colours work best when you've got one patterned fabric and one not - try to avoid having both your top and bottom patterned. Two plain bright colours work too, but accessorize accordingly to jazz it up more!
DIY TIP 2: To re-create your own pair of those ever-trendy black-rimmed glasses, grab an old pair of sunglasses/glasses (even better if you can source them from vintage shops!) which have round frames and just pop the lenses out.
DIY TIP 3: If you're desperately trying to find awesome jeans like Lock is wearing (I know, it's tough!) you can try international brand, Cheap Monday, which can be found here and here. I've also personally spotted them in high end vintage shops such as Luxury Vintage in Bangsar/Plaza Damas, Wondermomo at Mont'Kiara, and Poponali on first floor of Centrepoint.
