WindowShopBlog: Vavavoom Fashion
Heard of Vavavoom Fashion? Established by two qualified fashion-holic sisters, Sonia and Charlene, this blogshop stands out by selling clothes they sew themselves! Click to find out more as TiC went up close and personal for an interview.
Designing the garments start off with the girls scouring fashion magazines, old Archie comics and pictures of their mothers. They then move on to planning time frame, fabric sourcing, pattern making, cutting and sewing; all made with a squeeze of passion for fashion!
A simple halter dress would usually take a week, but designs like the ruffle hem dress took a month!

Handmade multilayered dress, RM200
I asked the girls who'd they'd most like to wear their creations and they replied, "People with appreciation!"
"Its like giving birth to a baby, and this is what makes Vavavoom stand out from other blogshops. We do entertain personal requests, depending on our day jobs and studies."

Caged Dress, RM99

Lady Gaga-inspired, RM65
They even have a tribute section to Lady Gaga. Embodying her eccentric fashion sense, they specially select items for the subtle Gaga in you (for the up-coming Concert perhaps?).

Cassette Ring, RM29

Two-toned Sailor Dress, RM52

Fish Scale Top, RM40

Hand made Denim Dress, RM200
On an individual level, Sonia and Charlene experiment with different styles - edgy, sweet, nerdy - depending on their mood and where they'd be. When asked what they wouldn't be caught dead wearing, Sonia's answer is red clogs, whereas Charlene states granny pajamas.
