I ransacked the closet of 17-year-old International Studies major, Sheiqs Tamano, and came up with 5 looks. Drawing fashion inspiration from Japanese and Korean pop culture, her closet is an eclectic mix of contemporary style clothing with a dose of street and hip-hop. With her carefree style-sense, Shix is the quintessential Manila cool girl at its best.

Clockwise from top left -
Gray liquid leggings: Topshop
White graphic tee: Mango
Tunic top: Custom made
Black dress: Hong Kong
Printed tights: Vintage

Look 1: Tucked in the tunic and tied a scarf around her neck for a relatively preppy look.

Look 2: Folded the dress into a skirt to turn a look fit for a night out with friends.

Look 3: Paired unlikely patterns for a fun outfit.

Look 4: Coordinated the liquid leggings with the tunic to generate a streamlined effect and to balance out the glimmer and shine.

Look 5: Keeping it unfussy with a little 80s thrown in.

i think her style is trying too hard, and leggings as pants a.k.a. look 5 is a STRICT no-no!

someone: you're kidding right? I think this is an obvious display of having fun with fashion, experimenting and mixing various patterns and textures.

As for the leggings part, as long as the top is covering the crotch, it's fine by me (and a lot of ppl i notice on chictopia and lookbook!).

(Thanks Joyce!) Well, I don't think she's trying too hard. C'mon, she's just fashionably adventurous! I think she's just gallant. I always appreciate it when people step out of the fashion box. Don't you? Everything does not have to match; imperfect is perfect for me. Being exceptional is what makes Shix significant. :)

hey i personally think it's really fiine. at least she's not afraid to be creative with her clothes and it resulted real good. AWESOME JOB:)her look really rocks and i love her style, great job on the styling! i like the last 2 outfits, it's simple and yet so CHIC! keep it coming:)

I don't think that her style is trying hard or something. She's actually expressing herself with her clothing. And she carries her clothes well. :) I think it's a brave thing to do to get out of your closet and wear clothes that would really define you-- and Sheiqs Tamano showed this. :) Thumbs up to her style. :)

I like look 5 which I think it's really cool and funky.Somehow,it just reminds me of 2ne1(kpop girlband)dressing which is AWESOME!!!

Shix is one of the few people I know who are genuine enthusiast of fashion. She has her personal style and a fuck off attitude. She'd wear any of these five outfits in broad daylight, perhaps even in school. So to the haters.. don't hate the player, hate the game. <3 you Shix! (btw, love the 1st and 4th look)
