Trend Talk Tuesdays: Fringed Boots
The thing about fashion is the endless repeating cycles it runs through! We’ve seen the comeback of a lot of 70s' and 80's trends ranging from headbands to leather and studs, and now the hippy chick look seems to be back in full swing with the emergence of fringe boots since Fall/Winter 08. Personally, I’m not that big on this trend as it’s bordering slightly too 1960's Woodstock for me, but what do you think?

The runways of Fall 08 heightened the trend with fashion forerunners such as Balmain and Gucci jumping on the bandwagon. Balmain’s look was very street casual with a twist of elegance – think contemporary evening dresses, plaid and lots and lots of black.

Gucci, on the other hand, played around a lot with various trends, creating eclectic looks which were stunning on the runway, but not so practical on the streets. Still, the clashing of colours, fur and textures somehow all really worked exceedingly well together!

And of course, a trend isn’t a trend without the latest celebrities strutting down the streets of Hollywood or New York in them. Here’s how the latest young-set of celebrities wear their gorgeous fringed booties!
