M-IFW09: Soft Seduction

Filed In Fashion by gwenyeoh | Comments: 2 | Views: 809

Jumping from show by one talented designer to the next, our third day kicked off with a showcase called Soft Seduction featuring Kwan Creation Spring/Summer 10 collections by Daniel Cho, one of mifa’s KL Six.

This collection by Daniel Cho is the most diverse, modern authentic and expressive collaborations out of all his creations. They're specially catered for the young, urban working men and women. Using mostly jersey, cotton, lycra and linen, Kwan Creation Spring/Summer 10 gives an insight into Daniel’s world.

His unconventional mixed-up classic with a touch of modern cutting edge and ready to wear silhouettes and fabrics feature high-end fashion details that are key to his collection.

Seen on his pieces were fabric embellishments, muted colors and beautiful daywear and cocktail dresses.

Most of his pieces were loose fitted or drape bond

I personally enjoyed the menswear where men wore leggings or in this case, meggings, under shorts. I also am particularly digging the sleeves scarf - which is like sleeves that have 2 holes for the hand to go through.  Since it can be worn as a scarf and as sleeves, I think I might get me one of those!

Besides that, there was also this one-of-a-kind suspenders that looks like the lapel of a tuxedo! How interesting is that?

What do you think? Can you see yourself wearing Kwan’s Creation or is it simply too casual for the runway?

With the ladies' collection, half are boring, half have good detail, but the accessories stole the limelight for me. Otherwise, it was pretty yawn-worthy and looks as though it shouldn't be on a runway. I would say it almost looks cheap. The men's collection is more interesting. Despite the 'wearability' of the entire collection, I'm not impressed because it lacked togetherness - the entire look should wow us over.

i think his forte is more in mens wear. it's not excellent but better then the womens. the womens collection is boring and uninspired.
