Trackies are daggy no more

I may have slammed Alexander Wang's preppy atheletic collection during the Spring/Summer '10 New York Fashion Week but it seems one woman's displeasure is another's delight for Times Online reports that trackpants have been christened the 'Trousers of the Season'.

Also seen on the runways of Bottega Venetta, Proenza Schouler, and Marni, trackie bottoms are tipped to be the next big thing. Not just any kind though, the point is to look like a dancer off-duty not a lazy couch-potato. Hence, simple grey marl, with a cuffed ankle and a roomy waistband is key while bootcut-style Juicy Couture trackies should never see the light of day!

Get Google-d up

Wear your Internet browser preferance on your sleeve! Google has just launched their new inspired fashion designs that feature among other things, an old-fashioned magnifying glass pendant ($200), a $300 knit scarve and t-shirts for $85.

The designs are a result of a fund-raising event in collaboration with Vogue magazine and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). You can purchase these items at the Google Store. The proceeds will go to Vogue/CFDA fund for upcoming designers.

Jimmy Choo jumps on the sporty train

Kanye West X LV

Jimmy Choo sure is experimental these days. Not only will he be collaborating with Ugg boots, but he will jump on the sporty train and create a pair of trainers. Featuring gold eyelets, exotic skins and star-print soles, these trainers will come at a high price, £395 to be exact. These sneakers are definitely not one for gym, although it will definitely add some bling and sass to a regular workout!

What's the biggest fashion buzzword of last year?

Google me this, but guess who or what was the biggest buzzword of last year? None other than Lady Gaga! The eccentric songstress placed number one on the annual list, making history by being the first ever person to get name checked on the list. The Lady Gaga hysteria has spawned dolls, homemade cookies and now even artistic interpretations of dollar bills. Other fashion buzzwords on the list include "off-shoulder", "hippie luxe", and "armadillos". Click on over here for the full list.
