Fashion Avenue
By: Claudia Low
A few days ago, an infantile boutique celebrated its first month anniversary with its owner who turned 29 on the same day. Being in an area that is currently secluded, they shared a quiet birthday together - the calm before the storm. In a matter of months, Solaris will attract clientele like moths to a flame, and Fashion Avenue will hold similar reputation to that of a staple Bangsar boutique.
But Fashion Avenue’s owner, Norwani M. Noor, is not just prepared for it – she intends to go beyond uniquely-sourced concepts. While her items are mostly from the generic South East Asian off-the-rack range and consignments from friends, Wani is brewing her own line, which will be available around the yearend. Though she said she couldn’t confirm much, she promises her label will be different from anything she has on the racks.
But for now, Fashion Avenue offers clothes, shoes, bags and accessories from all over. Each item runs along the lines of modern feminine with a slight twist. This means embellishments, ruffles, and patterns with strategic cinching fit for a member of Blair Waldorf’s army. Clothes are fairly affordable, maintaining prices within the range of RM49 and RM79, while bags can go from RM59 to RM99.
Fashion Avenue is located at:
No 13-1, Jalan Solaris 3
Solaris, Mont Kiara
50480 Kuala Lumpur
Opening hours: 11am - 8pm every day
