Chic CODE: 2X LG Phones To Give Away!
I hope you've read our post on the CHIC Code party happening this Sunday at Palate Palette! I know, it's quite insane the number of things happening to Tongue in Chic for November. I think we'd have to start an official calendar of events soon so you don't miss a thing!

We're giving out 2x LG Secret mobile phones this week, and will be doing so every week for the next 4 weeks!
Every week, ONE phone will be given out to the Best Dressed at our CHIC Code fashion themed parties, and another ONE phone will be given to the TiC reader who sends us the best picture of themselves dressed in that week's theme.
As you know, this week's CHIC Code theme is Pop Art, inspired by Edie Sedgwick and Andy Warhol. To get you into the groove to dress up, read a bit more about Sedgwick and her fashion sense that went against the grain in her time.

Edie Sedgwick
Born Edith Minturn Sedgwick (1943) in Santa Barbara California to a well-established family, Sedgwick was an American socialite, actress, heiress and legend. In 1965, she moved to New York where she met pop artist/avant-garde filmmaker Andy Warhol. Warhol worked at his studio (famously known as The Factory) where he produced films, art and music.
He would later use Sedgwick in his underground films where her disconnected and dishevelled fashion sense grabbed the attention of mainstream media and made her a cult fashion icon. Sedgwick was unlike anybody else during her the time.
Her style was not uptown elegant nor downtown boho but a mix of the two. The epitome of the swinging 60s teamed thick, black kohl eyeliner with large antique chandelier earrings; priceless jewels with a long dress and bare feet. In time, her opaque tights, false eyelashes worn under the eye and chandelier earrings became her signature pieces.
