Alexander Wang, fashion's latest "it" designer was announced winner of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund award, walking away with a cool $200,000 prize and year-long mentorship. The ten finalists were Albertus Q. Swanepoel, Alejandro Ingelmo, Alexander Wang, Irene Neuwirth, Jason Wu, Juan Carlow Obando, Obedient Sons & Daughters, Organic, Richard Chai an Vena Cava. All props to Mr. Wang but I was silently rooting for Alejandro Ingelmo, which provides no suprise considering my weakness for geniuses who create such beautiful, architectural wonders (yes, I'm talking about his shoes).
