Chic CODE: Retro Revival @ Replacement

Last Sunday evening saw enthusiastic readers dressing up for Tongue in Chic and LG Secret's party in Replacement Boutique x Salon, Bangsar. Chic CODE: Retro Revival started at 6pm and lasted later than 9pm... we had to chase some guests away to pack up!

Replacement and Rebird clothes and apparel were on 20% discount. Besides that, they brought in an extra two vendors to sell racks of vintage dresses and lace tops at RM35 a piece, and other funky stuff. With only one fitting room in Replacement, it was constantly engaged with someone (or two at times) inside trying things on. I myself ended up spending over RM200, oops.

Fashion designers Eleanor Ng and Jimmy Lim, who were two of the Ten Rising Stars to show at MIFA last Saturday.
Based on their style, the TiC team picked three girls in the crowd to vye for an LG Secret mobile phone or RM1,000 worth of Lancome products. The three finalists were made to strut down a makeshift runway and pretend to talk on the phone using the LG Secret. Sounds simple really, except that the winners were decided by the crowd so the girls had to really work it.
