After 15 years, organisers of New York’s Fashion Week, IMG Fashion have announced that they will move the event to Lincoln Center starting September 2010. The location offers more space - around 87,000 square feet versus 70,000 square feet at Bryant Park. Such a move while unpopular with some will be a relief for the park management which has often complained about the disruptions caused by the twice-annual event, estimated to draw more than 100,000 visiting store buyers and fashion editors each time.

Luxury shoemaker Jimmy Choo hopes to have a network of "Couture Shoe Academies" worldwide but plans to open the first one here in his home country. “It has to be well-planned and reputable. Once it is established, the academy can be licensed all over the world on the Jimmy Choo label,” he says. We say, there's always room for more shoemakers!
INDITEX prepares for world domination. Well, in the world of fast-fashion that is. INDITEX, one of Europe’s largest clothes retailers, is in final discussions with shortlisted Indian companies to form a joint venture and will launch its Zara high street brand in India by end of the year. Where to next? Guatemala? Wait... they're already there...
Could Gareth Pugh be moving to Dior Homme? Rumour has it Pugh’s name has been bandied about for months as a possible replacement for Kriss Van Assche who is the currently the designer at Dior Homme. Dior CEO Sidney Toledano however has denied even meeting Pugh. One thing is for certain, LVMH have begun financing his shows - providing "a low, five figure sum to the Sunderland-born, 27-year-old Pugh for his Paris Sunday evening show, his debut men’s runway collection."

First Kanye West, now Stew Bradley (yeah, I had the same question). Why an NFL player is choosing to intern at a fashion mag is beyond me. Perhaps the more telling question would be why choose a high profile football player over the many other fashion students/ enthusiasts who would kill for the job.
