New On The Block: Musa Fashion and Cafe, Avenue K (MY)

With so much we can do on the Internet, we seem to close in on that gap between Malaysians and the rest of world. Now, no longer can we use the excuse of not being exposed to fashion trends and upcoming designers labels that are currently navigating the fashion industry. What we don't have however is the availability of such names and brands here in Malaysia. That was until the multi brand boutique, Musa Fashion and Cafe opened its metal framed, glass doors and invited fashion lovers from around the city to touch, feel and wrap yourself in House of Holland, Peter Jensen and Cheap Monday.

Lah'Lah'Land Salon & Boutique Launch

Earlier this month, we blogged about Lah'Lah'Land opening their new boutique and salon in Subang Jaya. Just last Saturday, they held their grand launch to unveil the finished oulet to friends and fashionistas! Located right above a book and stationary store, opposite Old Town Cafe, the launch brought many funky people interested in checking out a new vintage haunt where they can do their hair at the same time!

Chic Shop: Plush (KL)

Last Saturday, I headed over to Bangsar to check out the opening of Plush Boutique. As much of a cliche as it sounds, I love my Bangsar boutiques. Certain attributes give a boutique its reputation - being fashion forward, relatively affordable, owned by people passionate about what they're doing, and be the sort who'd tell you not to buy something because it doesn't suit you.

Chic Shop: Lah'Lah'Land Boutique (MY)

One of our favourite online vintage haunts turned into a tangible boutique two weeks ago. When we heard, boy oh boy, were we excited! So onwards I travelled all the way to Lah'Lah'Land (which is not as far as you'd think; it's in Subang) to get a glimpse of their impressive collection of pre-loved goods out of the computer screens and onto some racks.

Yuna Opens IamJetfuel Store

While making waves on the local music scene with her debut album launching at the end of the year, it seems that Malaysian artiste Yuna is a very busy 23-year-old indeed! Juggling her music career while pursuing a law degree in UiTM, she's also all set to take the local fashion scene by storm with her new boutique that just opened last Tuesday!

Chic Shop: woodwood (SG)

It's always great to find local labels that won't create a hole in your pocket and located in the back alleys of Level 2, Far East Plaza, is one of them. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Woodwood Private Label stocked in-house designs as well as various pieces from around the region.

Last Thursday, a little birdie named Didi told us a boutique had popped up at our home base (aka Jaya One),  near Cold Storage and Guardian Pharmacy. Naturally, the Freeform girls turned it into a mini excursion to scope out the place.

MNEP aka The Burrow opened its doors last month in one of the most bustling student populated spots in the Klang Valley. In my opinion, it's one boutique I've seen in a long time that has the potential to be the next staple place to shop.
