NIHONGO FIESTA (PH)
Japan recently came to Manila in the form of the Nihongo Fiesta, which includes a Street Fashion Exhibition and Contest promoting the cultural and arts exchange between the two countries. I was invited to judge the Street Fashion Contest and, I must say, the Filipino kids really came in their J-pop best. Apart from the contest, there was also an exhibit featuring style photos from the streets of Tokyo (courtesy of the Japan Fashion Association) and Manila (taken by our very own Filipino fashion icons - Cecile Zamora-Van Straten and Jujiin Samonte). It truly was a visual feast with everyone looking extraordinarily fashionable. So, without further ado, I'll just let the photos speak for themselves.

Last Thursday was another series of Mutant Mayhem private party at Palate Palatte. Although people came in for the music, the Tongue in Chic Style Scout snapped some funky styles that needed to be shown tothe rest of the world!

While most people were busy partying on New Year's Eve, the Tongue in Chic Style Scouts went on a mission to find the hot dressers who dressed to usher in the new years at FUTURE Presents the Bloody Beetroots! With local DJs Goldfish and Lapsap together with the electrifying duo, The Bloody Beetroots from Italy, we counted down to 2010 with 10 funky styles spotted at KL Live!

It was an urban jungle come alive as club kids came out to partayy with their fiercest party duds at the Neon Jungle Kid party, hosted by Lah'Lah'Land. With music on the decks helmed by Ethan Chu (who is one of our nominated Super Stylemaestro at the Tongue in Chic Style Awards 09), the night brought out the inner (party) animal in the enthusiastic crowd. Music lovers braved the heavy traffic and gathered for a chance to see acts from around the region perform. These dedicated peeps were also treated to games, DIY sessions and some easy shopping. Brought to you by Yahoo in collaboration with JUNK, The YOUREKA! Finale Party By Yahoo! was one fashionable and eventful shindig.

Last Friday was the much-awaited Hanger launch at Neo. A bi-annual fashion magazine by JUICE, the shindig hosted a medley of beautiful people in their fierce party duds.
StyleWars (KL)
Last Thursday, I bore witness to an epic war that left no one injured or hurt (except heartache perhaps). The atmosphere was charged and there were loud yells and cheers all over, yet there was no animosity or ill intentions towards one another. Of course, this wasn’t just any war; this was StyleWars, a showcase for young Malaysian designers organized by Raffles International College. FT x PMS @ Barsonic
23rd January marked the FM x PMS fashion show at Barsonic, Zouk KL. This collaborative event showcased the gritty, sexy styles of Femmething (helmed by YC Phoon) and Project Muff Stit duo, Michelle (or better known as Chelle) and Sheryl.
