TiC Pick: London Fashion Week Collaborations for Topshop
Though buying a Christopher Kane or Barbara Hulanicki (Biba) design may have been a pipe dream of many in the past, Topshop has played an instrumental part in making those dreams reality with their designer collaborations that enable the masses to get their hands on designer goods for-less. In light of the upcoming London Fashion Week primed to kick off on February 2010, Topshop has announced some mini-collections from designers showing during fashion week. With a mix of looks that cover the range of 'urban edge', one can only drool in lust and envy at the looks from Ann-Sofie Back, Jonathan Saunders and Ashish.

Music Genres that Moulded Men's Fashion
Long before the term metrosexual was coined, many scoffed at men who wanted to look pretty and care about their appearances. Male preening was a huge no-no to their 'machoness', and how would a girl feel if her boyfriend "tsk tsk" at her dress and shoe pairing? Or honestly say "girlfriend! That jeans does make your booty look big"?

Just-For-Fun Friday: Christopher Kane Beast Prints
It's no secret that the entire TiC team was anticipating and salivating over the new Christopher Kane x Topshop line. Yesterday's release of the collection saw me heading over to Pavilion at 10.30am to purchase an oversized, ripped and snipped croc top for RM273. Yesterday also saw a plethora of local tweets, some loving, some hating Kane's penchant for beastiality prints. Since it was such a hot topic of debate, I thought I'd open up the comments box for you to voice out this Friday, just for fun.

Christopher Kane X Topshop coming soon to Pavilion
We have waited long enough and our patience have proven worthwhile as Christopher Kane x Topshop has finally made it to our shores! Yes, the collection is now available in Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur and guess who had already made their wish list?

TiC Pick: Panel Bodycon Skirts
The Hervé Léger bodycon bandage dress was all the rage in 2008 as we covered in our previous TiC Pick. The close-fitting dress was certainly a beauty but not very viable if you weren't a skinny minny. Topshop adapted the trend and put their own spin on it in their panel bodycon skirts that were a hit with fashionistas far and wide.

TiC Pick: Peplum
That strange looking little piece of fabric you see layered atop a skirt is definitely an acquired taste but my my, doesn't it complement a tiny waist! Fashion has been going through a revival for a while now so it was only a matter of time before they got to the peplum; a staple in the 1980s and early '90s.

TiC Pick: Slouchy Boyfriend Blazers
Blazers are great cos they instantly give any outfit a smarter, dapper feel to whatever you've got layered on underneath; and the one I love is the slouchy boyfriend blazer. It gives the same effect with a casual feel and little (or no) lining, which is a blessing for our weather. Click to read where I spotted some pretty sweet ones for less than RM300!

TiC Pick: Bleached Denim
Remember when skinny jeans first came back into trend most of us felt we had to have a certain body type to rock it? Fast forward to today, and almost everyone owns a pair. The trend skyrocketed into a stubborn staple that required alternatives to be brought in. While celebrities have been rocking the bleached denim skinnies since April, I'm glad to say the wave's finally hitting our shores.

TiC Tock, New On The Block: Topshop + Miss Selfridge
We may not have autumn or winter here but it doesn't mean that we can't appreciate fashion during the seasons and improvise. Click to salivate over the A/W 2009 collections from Topshop and Miss Selfridge.

DNP Clothing Visual Merchandising Sale
DNP Clothing will be holding a warehouse sale next week, but don't be alarmed if you see an inevitable lack of clothes. You see, they'll only be selling visual merchandising items that have previously been used in their stores.

TiC Pick: Ripped Jeans
At first I sadly thought skinnies and leggings would eventually phase out with the upward trend of harem and wide-legged pants. That was until I gleefully found chic alternatives to keep the trend firmly intact. We went through latex, printed, zipper, then studded. Now we find ourselves trend spotting cut out jeans and leggings!

TiC Pick: Beach Cover Ups
These days, we've been plagued by the most humid days I've ever faced in all my years living in KL. As I was scanning through potential TiC Picks, I zoned out onto a beach, which is when I went on a little bikini window shopping frenzy. If you're going on the holiday I wish I could take, you might want to check out this week's TiC Pick - tie-dyed cover ups perfect for Summer!

Topshop + Topman Student Promo
Who could pass up the opportunity to shop for some fab clothes at bargain prices? Topshop and Topman are offering students 10% off all regular items! The student promo started early June and will end on 30th June 2009. Don't forget to bring your valid school ID!

TiC Pick: Jelly Sandals
Last month, I wrote about designer jelly flats and how they'd eventually find their way on a trend wave and into mid-range budget boutiques. Well, I now shout hurrah, because it took less than a month for this to happen. :)

Barbara Hulanicki (Biba) for Topshop
In 1964, two very iconic British high street retail stores opened. One was Biba and the other was Topshop. Both would leave an everlasting impact on young adult dressing - one epitomizing the style of the swinging sixties, while the other revolutionizing today's flair and vogue. Not many stores can claim to owning huge shopping Meccas where people, both regular and celebrity, could be seen but these two take the cake. With such similar and celebrated backgrounds, the two British legends collaborating is cause for much excitement - Biba for Topshop!
Kate Moss For Topshop Preview
This week marks event mania on my calendar, but I was particularly interested about the Kate Moss for Topshop media preview that took place this morning. There is a re-established hype for the collection, despite previous seasons having wound up on sales racks on this side of the globe.
Topshop/Topman Student Lock-In Sale
One of the benefits of being a student (no matter how much we'd rather be working already!) is all the special student discounts we get, one of the best being the annual Topshop/Topman Student Lock-In Sale!
